Contact Detective Larry

1. BY PHONE. You will reach me personally (really!) Mon.-Sat. 7am-9pm Pacific. Our conversation will cost you $1/minute. The total time needed averages 15 or 20 minutes, but we will talk only as long as seems fruitful to both of us. Here's a sample conversation. The number is 800-270-8660. After we talk I will email you a PayPal bill that you will be able to pay by credit/debit card (without joining PayPal) or by check or cash. You are agreeing to pay this even if we don't happen to find a solution to your problem.

2. BY E-MAIL.
a.) For an unlimited number of e-mails exchanged with me regarding one electrical problem, submit this Advice Request Form. You will then be taken to PayPal to pay $15 by credit/debit card (you don't have to join PayPal). I will reply within 12 hrs. Mon.-Sat... Think of the payment as a retainer for your own private detective for that problem.
b.) To simply provide feedback about the site, e-mail me free here. Or, when you Donate, you can include a message or even ask me a question.

3. IN PERSON. If you live in the Seattle area, we can arrange for me to come diagnose and repair your problem. For this, contact me as described in House Calls.

DISCLAIMER: Since we are in a position like a doctor diagnosing and advising a patient over the phone, by contacting me you agree that you will not hold me liable in any way for misjudgments by me, or for any hazards you encounter or produce if you work on your electrical system. Contacting a local electrician to come to your home is always an option and may still be necessary after consulting me.

Larry when he was young and worked hardElectrical know-how by phone People often pay $15 blindly for new outlets, switches, or breakers to try to solve their problem. What are the chances of that helping? If money has to be spent, wouldn't it make more sense to invest in a clearer diagnosis first. I will honor your investment by doing my best in our communications. Some problems have quick, simple fixes. Others might take some persistence and a willingness to try things out (within your comfort zone).
